Independence, Mo.- - Services for Patsy J. Richey, Independence, Mo., were held Friday in Christ United Methodist Church, followed by burial in Whitecloud Cemetery at Whitecloud, Kan.

Mrs. Richey, a former Osawatomie, Kan., resident, died Tuesday April 21, 1998 in her home. She was 59.

She was born Feb. 19, 1939 in St. Louis, Mo. The family later moved to Osawatomie where she lived about nine years. She graduated from Osawatomie High School in 1958. She and Rex Richey were married Aug. 25, 1958 in Osawatomie.

Mrs. Richey had lived in the Independence area since 1960 and was employed by the Independence School District for six years. She retired in 1997.

She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church of Independence, Mo.

Survivors include her husband, Rex, of the home; three daughters, Diana Schwalbach, Omaha, Neb., Terry Cleary, Holt, Mo., and Tammy McMahan, Independence; six brothers, Ralph McQuay, Santa Ana, Calif., Doyle McQuay and William McQuay, Pomme de Terre, Bob McQuay, Osawatomie, and Wilbern McQuay and Ronald McQuay, Stockton; three sisters Violet Adams, Nevada, and Mary Needham and Sharon Martin, Lane; and seven grandchildren.
