Raymond E. Franklin, 66, of Dearborn, MI. died December 26, 2006 after a year long battle with cancer.

He was born July 4, 1940 in Parson, KS., the son of Robert Franklin and Cleo Herod Franklin. The family moved to Osawatomie in 1949 and Ray attended local schools and graduated from Osawatomie High in 1958.

He joined the Navy after high school and served in various locations until 1962. After his discharge he lived in Anaheim, CA. for a year and then moved to Dearborn, MI. where he resided until his death. During those years he worked in construction and then as a maintenance supervisor for Ford Motor Company.

He was preceded in death by his mother in 2001. Survivors include his wife, Carole, of the home, three sons, Keith, Scott, and Todd; a daughter, Kari; his father, Robert, of Crystal Lake, IL., and a brother, Don (Celeste), of Cary, IL.
