Henry Lawrence Bachman, 73, Coats, Kan., died July 15, 2011, at Pratt Regional Medical Center, Pratt, Kan.

He was born June 15, 1938, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Phillip and Mary Sharp Bachman.

He was a photographer in the United States Navy, retiring in 1979. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. In 1960, he married Connie O’Brien who preceded him in death

He later married Amy Phillips in 1971.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Hahn; four sisters, Dorothy Bachman, Anne Marie Trumbly, Phyllis Henness and Gertrude Agnes Bachman; four brothers, Phillip Chester Bachman, Charles A. Bachman, George Bachman and Francis Bachman; and a grandson.

Survivors include two daughters, Erin Clay Crouch of Coats and Brenda Bachman of Osawatomie; six brothers, Donald “Sonny” Trumbly, Joe Bachman, Jim Bachman, Bob Bachman, Sam Bachman and Tom Bachman; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pratt.

Burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Osawatomie Cemetery.
