Joe Calvin Straw, 74, of North Little Rock, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012. He was retired from ADT after 40 years of service, served in the U. S. Navy and was a member of Amboy Baptist Church. Joe was a great Christian role model and a witness to all he encountered. He was a kind and gentle-hearted man with a wonderful sense of humor who enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and gardening.

He is survived by his son, Shane Straw (Connie) of North Little Rock; three daughters, Shannon Adams (Matthew), Shelly Quick (Charles M.) and Stephanie Straw all of Little Rock; six grandchildren, Devon, Dylan, Abigail, Oliver, Eleanor and Dexter; sister, Vicki Straw (Sylvia) of San Antonio, Texas; sister-in-law, Mary Beth Straw and several beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Florence Straw and brother, Carl Straw.

Funeral services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church in North Little Rock. Burial was in Edgewood Memorial Park.
