Keith Weide, 75, died Aug. 7, 2012, in Omaha, Neb.

Keith was born Aug. 28, 1936, in Yates Center, Kan., to Nelson and Louise Weide. He grew up in Osawatomie and graduated from Osawatomie High School in 1954.

He and his identical twin brother, Kenneth, joined the U.S. Army and served with the Third Infantry Presidential Honor Guard, marching in President Kennedy’s inaugural parade and burying the dead at Arlington National Cemetery.

Keith attended college at Pittsburg State College, graduating in 1961. He moved to Omaha to work for the IRS, where he met his wife, Rosemary Begley. They married Oct. 22, 1966, and had five children: Sean, Paul, Bridget, Ann and Neil.

He retired from the U.S. Army Audit Agency.

He was busy in his retirement with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his twin, Kenneth, who died June 4, 2012.

Survivors include his wife, Rosemary; three sons, Sean and Neil, both of Omaha, and Paul (Mara) of Alexandria, Va.; two daughters, Bridget Brooks (Jon) of Omaha and Ann-Elizabeth Kouba (Randy) of Auburn, Neb.; grandchildren, Emily, Lauren, Julia, Olivia, Veronica, Declan, Ronan and Blaise Weide and Emily, Virginia, Sophia, Dominic and Damien Kouba; two brothers, Eugene (Sarah) and Jack (Maralin); a brother-in-law, William Begley (Norma); and two sisters-in-law, Regina Begley and Dorothy Begley.

Services were Aug. 11. Arrangements were through the Korisko Larkin Staskiewicz Funeral Home, Omaha, NE. Burial was in St. John’s Cemetery, Bellevue, Neb.

Memorials may be made for Masses, donations to Poor Clare Nuns or the Alzheimer’s Association.
