DONALD D. WARRICK

CLASS OF 1953

FEBRUARY 7, 1935 - MAY 10, 1978

Donald D. Warrick, 43, 3119 So. 65th Circle, Fort Smith, AR, died May 10, 1978 in the Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith.

The second of four children of Wallace and Olive Spellman Warrick, he was born Feb. 7, 1935 in Osawatomie. He grew up in Osawatomie and attended school here, graduating with the class of 1953.

On Oct, 21, 1953 he was married to Dana Meredith in Olathe and they had three daughters.

For five years, Mr. Warrick worked as a machinist for the Missouri Pacific Railroad. He then became a laboratory technician and worked at the Osawatomie State Hospital for three years and the Miami County Hospital for 15 years.

In December 1976, they moved to Fort Smith where he owned and operated the Eastside Texaco Station and the Mid American Inn in Van Buren, AR, which opened May 5.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Osawatomie and the B.P.O.E. Lodge 921 of Osawatomie.

Among the survivors are his wife, Dana, of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Cindy Marshall of Fort Smith AR; Mrs. Deanna Ricketts of Osawatomie; and Tracy Warrick of the home; two brothers, Herman Warrick, Anchorage, AK, and Gary Warrick, Fort Smith, AR; one sister, Karen Dickerson, Colorado Springs, CO; and two grandchildren.

Services wereheld Saturday in the Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home with the Rev. Clayton Pittman officiating. Music was provided by Mrs. Jo Dickey and Mrs. Jean Young accompanied by Mrs. Nelle Dollard, organist.

Pallbearers were Jim Jordan, Gene Carriker, Larry Coker, Bill Avery, Carl Osbin and Ron Pool. Burial was in Osawatomie Cemetery.
