BEVERLY JOANN QUINCY PARKER

 CLASS OF 1953

MARCH 8, 1935 - SEPTEMBER 24, 2013

Resident of Walnut Creek

Beverly Joann Parker passed away on Tuesday, September 24th, after a long battle with illness.

Over the course of her 78 years she touched many lives with her love and friendship.

Beverly was born in Kansas where she met the love of her life, her husband Gene Parker. She graduated from Osawatomie High School with the Class of 1953.

They moved throughout the US in the early years of their marriage making lifelong friends through her husband's work at Kaiser Aluminum. Eventually they settled in Walnut Creek where they made their home for over 40 years.

Beverly was proud to be a homemaker devoted to her family and was active in the Parent Teacher's Association, the Contra Costa Quilters Guild, bridge clubs and community organizations. She spent years working as a Medical Assistant at the Rossmoor Clinic. After Gene's passing she became a devoted loving Grammy to her three grandchildren.

Beverly is survived by her devoted sons Philip (Phil) Parker and James (Jim) Parker; her daughter-in-law and close friend Paula Parker; her three grandchildren Ryan (who she shares a birthday and a very special bond with), Colin (who kept her laughing) and Riley (who she spoiled with M&M's). She is also survived by her sister Mary Beth Klarich and her Aunt (and closest friend) Jonetta McLain.

Friends and family are invited to a celebration of her life on September 29, 2013 from 11:00 - 3:00 at Beverly's home. A private interment ceremony will follow at a later date.
