Billie Jean Page, 64, Olathe, a former Osawatomie resident, died Saturday, May 13, 2000, at Olathe Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 30, 1935, in Claremore, Okla., the daughter of Wayne Edward and Ruby Edith Molder Mitchell. She was raised by her grandparents in Osawatomie, where she attended school, graduating from Osawatomie High School in 1953.

She married Richard Dale Page on Jun 14, 1953, at the First United Methodist Church in Osawatomie. They made their home in Olathe.

Among those preceding her in death were her parents, a daughter, Barbara Jean Newton, who died Feb. 13, 1998, and a grand-daughter, Jennifer Page.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Page of the home; two sons, Alan Richard Page of Olathe and Roger William Page of Independence, MO.; a half brother, Larry Mitchell of Hilltop Lakes, Texas, two half sisters, Patricia A. Gaddie of Plainfield, Ind., and Mary M. Schwindt of Rossville, Kan.; her stepmother, Helen Mitchell of Topeka; and five grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the W. L. Frye and Son Funeral Home, 105 E. Loula St. In Olathe. Burial will be in Olathe Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
