FRANCIS RAY STONE

MARCH 5, 1935 - MARCH 12, 2013

Francis Ray Stone, 78, a resident of Albuquerque, N.M., died March 12, 2013, after a courageous battle with leukemia.

He was born March 5, 1935, to Roby and Esteleen Viola Stone. He was a 1952 graduate of Osawatomie High School.

Francis retired from the United States Air Force, serving three tours of duty during the Vietnam War. After retirement he was the building superintendent for Rogoff, Diamond and Walker CPA Firm and worked part time at Integrity Networking. He attended Heritage Christian Fellowship.

Mr. Stone was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary; two sisters, Thelma and Dorothy; and his brother, Merle.

He is survived by his wife, Rita; children, Claudia M. McGrew (Jeff) of Fort Collins, Colo., Gerald R. Stone (Jodie) of Albuquerque, Wesley K. Stone (Lynda) of Dallas; grandchildren, Geremy, Joshua, Bradley, Zachary and Emily; great-grandson, Abel; and his brother, Lloyd Stone (Carol) of Olathe. He loved his family deeply and will be missed very much.

Services were March 16 at French Funerals, 10500 Lomas Blvd. N.E., Albuquerque, N.M. Burial in Santa Fe National Cemetery was on March 19.
