Services for Kathleen Y. Perry, Overland Park, were held Monday in D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel. Mrs. Perry, a native Osawatomie, died Friday, April 17, 1998 in her home at age 63. She suffered with cancer.

Born June 13, 1934 in Osawatomie, she was the daughter of Marie D. and James B. Cortner. She grew up in Osawatomie and was a 1952 graduate of Osawatomie High School. She studied music at the University of Kansas and was an active member of the Junior Women's Symphony Association for more than 15 years.

Mrs. Perry was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church of Prairie View.

Survivors include her husband, Robert O. Perry, of the home; a son, Kevin T. Perry, Longwood, FL; two daughters, Rebecca L. Specht, Lenexa and Roxanne E. Lindblom, Overland Park;a two sisters, Carolyn A. Linnemeyer, Grand Junction, CO and Sue Ellen Cortner, Spanaway, WA; and seven grandchildren.

The Rev. Nanette Roberts officiated. Pallbearers were Roger L. Markham, Gary L. Williams, Joseph A. Linnemeyer, Joseph B. Medina, Jerry W. Smith and Roy L. McCaslin. Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.

Memorials have been established in her name to the American Cancer Society and Kansas City Hospice, 1625 W. 92nd Sr., Kansas City, MO 64114.
