Shirley Ann Brunts, 67, Cameron Park, CA., a former Osawatomie resident, died Saturday, February 16, 2002.

She was born June 11, 1934, in Kansas City, the daughter of Ellis P. and Alma Clawson of Osawatomie. She grew up in Osawatomie, attended local schools and graduated from Osawatomie High School in 1952. She had lived in Cameron Park since 1978.

She was married to Bill Brunts, and they became the parents of three children. He was in the military, and she and the children returned to Osawatomie to live from time to time while he was serving overseas.

Mrs. Brunts was actively involved in the Rescue Church of Christ.

She enjoyed reading, traveling and playing with her grand- daughters.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Bill Brunts; her son, Steven Brunts of Springfield, VA., two daughters, Carolyn Brunts of Cameron Park and Susan Brunts of San Francisco, CA., and four granddaughters.

A memorial service was held February 22 at the church. A memorial service will be at 10 AM Saturday at the Osawatomie Cemetery.
