WESLEY BARTLETT

APRIL 9, 1934 - MAY 6, 2016

Wesley Eldon Bartlett was born April 9, 1934 in Osawatomie, Kansas to Jesse and Hattie Bartlett. He passed from this earth to his eternal home to be with the Savior he so faithfully served on May 6, 2016.

He proudly served his country for 20 years as a member of the United States Air Force, retiring as a Master Sargent. He went on to work 25 years for Northrop Grumman and Dyna Corp as a consultant. A long-time member of Jan Lee Baptist church where he served faithfully as a Sunday School teacher and deacon. Wes was an avid golfer who teed it up every opportunity he had.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Bartlett whom he married while stationed in Amarillo, Texas. They shared a long and loving life while making their home with their girls in Burkburnett, Texas. He was blessed to find love a second time when he married Mary Ann Bartlett on December 8, 2014 who was devoted to him till the very end.

He will be solely missed by those who survive him: wife, Mary Ann Bartlett; daughters, Laurie Franklin and husband Donnie, Becky Walker and husband Randy, Terry Griffin and husband Ricky and Taffy Sims; his sisters, Raye Butler, Flossie Hines, and Rosie Jordan and husband Jim; brother, Willis Bartlett and wife Nancy; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Leonard Bartlett; and grandson, Larame Keith Griffin.

Services will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 11:00 am at Jan Lee Baptist Church in Burkburnett with Bro. Mark Simons, officiating. Interment will follow with full military honors at Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to either the Larame Griffin Memorial scholarship fund, Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch or St. Judes Children Hospital.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett
