JIMMIE WATSON

CLASS OF 1951

Graveside services for James Steven Watson, 48 who died Friday, August 6, 1982, at St. Louis, Mo., were held at 10am Saturday, at the Osawatomie Cemetery. The Rev. Gene Riley officiated. Services were under the direction of the Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home of Osawatomie.

Son of the late Curtis and Jewell Stanley Watson, he was born November 24, 1933, at Osawatomie. He grew up and attended School there, graduating with the class of 1951.

November 24, 1953, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Weatherbie and they became the parents of three children. He was married to Joyce Lamb in Oregon in 1972.

Mr. Watson had lived in St. Louis the past two years. He was a member of the U.S Army Reserves. For several years while living in Osawatomie, he worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad.

Surviving are his children, Mrs. Carol Heberly of Garnett, Steve Watson of Lane, and Rick Watson of Osage City; his half brother, Roy Weaver of Osawatomie; his brothers Bobby Weaver of Osawatomie; and Merle Watson, rural Lane; his sister, Mrs. Karen Waggoner of Osawatomie; three grandchildren; four step-children and on step-grandchild.
