Peggy Janice Michael, age 78, of Jasper, Georgia, died February 28, 2012 at her residence following a period of declining health.

Born on August 5, 1933 in Osawatomie, Kansas to the late Arther Jennings Dryden and Leola Blanch Mitchell Dryden, Mrs. Michael was a homemaker.

Mrs. Michael was preceded in death by her husband, William Lewis Michael, son, Stan Lewis Michael and daughter, Linda Diane Michael. She was survived by her daughter, Cindy Michael Patten of Jasper, Georgia, and grandchildren, Lindsay Michael Patten of Braselton, Georgia and Nicholas Stan Patten of LaGrange, Georgia.
