GEORGE BACHMAN

DECEMBER 8, 1932 - FEBRUARY 28, 2011

George Bachman, age 78, of Omak, WA died Monday, February 28th, 2011 at home. He was born December 8th, 1932 in Kansas City, MO. and was the son of Phil and Mary Bachman.

He moved to Osawatomie in 1943 and attended St. Philip Catholic school and graduated from grade school in 1947. He attended a Catholic Seminary in Cape Girardo, MO for two years before returning to Oaswatomie. He graduated from Osawatomie High School with the class of 1951. He was Class President and Yearbook Editor his senior year. After graduation he joined the United States Navy for four years and then attended classes at Pitt State but did not get a degree.

He attend a trade school in Kansas City and became a welder. He worked for the Beam Co. and Taylor Forge for several years. In 1978 he moved to Index, WA where he worked as a welder and retired in 1995. He later moved to Omak, WA.

George was preceded in death by his father and mother, four sisters and three brothers. He is survived by seven brothers, Don Trumbly of Paola, KS, Joe and Sam Bachman of Osawatomie, KS, Jim Bachman of Galena MO.,Henry Bachman of Coats, KS, Bob Bachman of Woodridge, VA, and Tom Bachman of Priest River ,ID.

He requested his body be cremated and the ashes spread in the mountains around Index and Omak WA.
