Graveside services for Brooks Edward Phillips, 35, were held Monday afternoon in the Paola Cemetery. Mr. Phillips died Friday at his home in Paola.

He was born Nov. 2, 1932 in Osawatomie and spent his life in this area and in California, except for the time he served in the Korean War. He graduated from Osawatomie High School in 1950.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Marian F. Daniels Phillips of Parker; a daughter, Tamara Phillips of Olathe; one brother, Robert Phillips of Paola; and a half-brother, Louis Phillips of Osawatomie.

The Rev. Ronald Sloan officiated at the services. Burial was in the American Legion plot in the cemetery.
