Helen Marie Stillings, 88, of Clinton, passed away on June 3rd, 2013

at Mercy Medical Center-North Campus. A visitation will be held from

4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7th at Lemke Funeral Home-South

Chapel (west side of Clinton Lawn Cemetery). An additional visitation

will occur on Friday June 14th at the Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home

in Springfield, MO. The Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home will also be

directing the funeral services and burial in Springfield. Lemke Funeral

Homes is assisting the family locally with arrangements.

Helen was born June 15th, 1924, in Reeder Anderson County, KS. She

was the daughter of Howard and Gertrude (Akers) Griffin. She was a

1943 graduate of Osawatomie Schools in Kansas.

She was united in marriage to Loren Stillings on April 11, 1947. Helen

was a member of Prince of Peace Parish in Clinton, Iowa. She enjoyed

being a homemaker. Helen loved to crochet an spend time in the garden,

loved to read, and was a seamstress. Above all she enjoyed spending

time with her family.

Helen is survived by her children; James E. (Patti) Stillings of Willard, MO.,

Joseph A. (Judy) Stillings of Lampe, MO., John A. Stillings of Marshalltown,

IA., Anna M. Stillings of Sterling, IL., Mary Milligan of Albany, IL., Mike L.

(Nancy) Stillings of Camanche, IA., Teresa J. (Warren) Brock of St. Charles,

MO., Charles W. (Amanda) Stillings of Albany, IL., Thomas C. (Brenda)

Stillings of Albany, IL., Veronica M. (Jeff) Blomquist of Monroe City, MO;

grandchildren - Joe, Tony, Chrissey, Shana, Jennifer, David, Misty Rose,

Joshua, Jacob, Michael, Nicholas, Trisha, Aaron, Ayden, Noah, Elijah, and

on step-granddaughter Allison; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters-Marge

Baldwin, RuthAnne (Lloyd) Hughes and one brother John (Betty) Griffin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Loran (passed in

2008), her son Robert, son-in-law Stephen Milligan, grandson Charles

Leroy, three brothers-William, Charles, and Larry Griffin, one sister

Rosemary Applegate.
