JAY LEE BEARLY

Jay L. Bearly, 58, Olathe, died Saturday in St. Joseph Hospital, Kansas City, MO. October 18, 1980.
He was born in Osawatomie and was graduated from the Osawatomie High School with the class of 1941.
Mr. Bearly lived in the Kansas City area 30 years. He was a salesman for the Holiday Sand & Gravel Co. for 23 years.
Besides being a member of the Faith Lutheran Church of Overland Park Masonic Lodge, the Royal Order of Jesters, the Scottish Rite bodies, the Adballah Shrine and the High Twelve Club, and a former director of the Trail Seventies Club.
He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Overland Park American Legion Post.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Marilyn Bearly of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Hart, St. Louis, MO., and Mrs. Jaylene Jones, Topeka; a sister, Mros. Mildred Hays, Independence; and two grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday in the church with burial in the Osawatomie Cemetery.
Masonic services were held Monday night at the McGilly and Hoge Chapel.
The family suggest contribution to the American Heart Association or the Abdallah Shrine Building Fund.
