Helen Virginia Willis, 81, Kansas City, Kan., an Osawatomie native, died Sunday Jan 19, 2003, in Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.

She was born in Osawatomie Jan. 7, 1922, the daughter of Oliver and Bertha Buxton Spellman. She grew up in Osawatomie and was a 1939 graduate of Osawatomie High School.

Mrs. Willis was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Grandview Christian Church.

Preceding her in death were her first husband, W. F. Miller of Miller Brothers Construction Co., and two sons, Patrick W. Miller and Terry L. Miller.

Surviving are her husband, Orlan Willis of the home; a son, Stephen O. Miller of Independence, Mo.; a daughter, Deborah Brashaw of Omaha, Neb.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services were Tuesday at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Arrangements were under the direction of Parker Funeral Home in Kansas City, Kan.
