Alladeen Mills, 80, Lawrence, former longtime resident of Osawatomie, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2001, in Brandon Woods Retirement Village in Lawrence.

The only child of William C. and Nell Gardner Lovelady, she was born Nov. 17, 1920 in Leachville, Ark. She was a 1939 graduate of Osawatomie and attended Ursuline Academy in Paola for two years.

She and J. Russell Mills were married Oct. 6, 1942, in Osawatomie where they made their home. They became the parents of two sons. Mr. Mills died March 21, 1995.

Mrs. Mills was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Osawatomie and Osawatomie Chapter No. 26 of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her two sons, Russell Mills of Topeka and William Mills of Lawrence, and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Mills was cremated. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Osawatomie Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home of Osawatomie.
