HAL FREDERICK HATFIELD

 

CLASS OF 1939

OCTOBER 16, 1919 - DECEMBER 7, 1972

Hal Frederick Hatfield, 53, died December 7, 1972 at Hallmark Cards where he had been employed as a security guard the past four years.

He was born in Osawatomie October 16, 1919, attended Osawatomie schools and graduated with the class of 1939.

Mr. Hatfield retired from the Air Force after 20 years' service and worked at the Osawatomie State Hospital before becoming employed at Hallmark.

Surviving are his wife, Betty; two sons, Fred Hatfield, Jr. and Joseph Hatfield, both of Osawatomie; his mother, Mrs. Clara Hatfield, Osawatomie; one brother and four sisters including Mrs. Catherine Howell, Osawatomie

He was a member of the Elks and of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Funeral services were held in the Eddy Funeral Home at Osawatomie last Saturday with Rev. Clayton Pittman officiating. Pallbearers were Ralph Diehm, Philip Mathews, John Dees, Junior McReynolds, Herbert Roy and Vern Ensle. Burial was in the Osawatomie Cemetery.
