CLASS OF 1939 AUGUST 12, 1921 - DECEMBER 1, 2000 Marion M. Shoemaker, 79, Edmond, OK, a former resident of Osawatomie, died December 1, 2000 in Edmond Medical Center. The daughter of Clarence Ray Cottrell, Sr. and Sarah Ellen Gregg Cottrell, she was born Aug. 12, 1921 in Osawatomie. She grew up in the Osawatomie community, attended Osawatomie High School and graduated with the Class of 1939. She married Leo W. Shoemaker on Dec. 14, 1946 in Osawatomie. She was a resident of Perry, OK, for 36 years and had lived in Frankfurt, Germany before that time. Mrs. Shoemaker was a homemaker and an Episcopalian. She was also a member of a bridge club in Edmond. Those preceding her in death included her husband, Leo Shoemaker, who died Sept. 16, 1992, and a brother. Survivors include a daughter, Marian Elaine Kramer of Edmond and a grandson. Services were in Christ Lutheran Church of Perry, followed by burial in Grace Hill Cemetery, also in Perry. Arrangements were under the direction of Brown-Sisson Funeral Home of Perry. Memorials were to the American Cancer Society and the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation of Diabetes Research. |
