Elda Mae Nofsinger, 57, Rte. 1, died Monday, Feb. 28, 1977, in St. Mary's Hospital, Kansas City, Mo.

A daughter of Virgil and Grace Troxel Holloman, she was born Feb. 28, 1920 in Osawatomie. A lifetime resident of Osawatomie, she attended the local schools and was graduated from Osawatomie High School with the Class of 1938.

She was married to Russell Ward in 1938 and they had twochildren.

On Aug. 13, 1957, she was married to Vernon Nofsinger in Miami, Okla. He preceded her in death in 1975.

Mrs. Nofsinger was a member of the United Methodist Church and Silver Link Lodge 207.

Survivors include her son, Russell E. Ward, Shawnee; her daughter, Mrs. Linda Douglas, Ottawa; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Coffelt and Mrs. Beatrice Minden, both of Osawatomie; five brothers, Virgil and Kenneth Holloman, both of Osawatomie, Arlie Holloman, Fort Worth, Tex., Robert Holloman, Lucedale, La., and William Holloman, Topeka; and four grandchildren.

Services were held Wednesday in Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home with The Rev. Glen Layton officiating. Mrs. Dorothy Heckart and Mrs. Mary Ricketts, accompanied by Mrs. Nelle Dollar, provided the music. Pallbearers were Roy Beets, Marvin Caylor, Francis Caylor, Merle Ensle, Vern Ensle and Blaine Smith.

Burial was in Osawatomie Cemetery.
