CLASS OF 1938 MARCH 22, 1920 - JANUARY 19, 1990 Dorothy Belle Fouts, 69, Osawatomie, died Friday, Jan 19, 1990, at the Heritage Manor Nursing Center in Osawatomie. She was born March 22, 1920, in Yates Center, Kan., to Robert and Laura Krider Davidson. The family moved to Osawatomie when she was a small child. She Grew up there and attended the Osawatomie schools, graduating from the Osawatomie High School with the Class of 1938. She was united in marriage to Robert C. Walters in Camp Wolters, Texas, in July, 1945. They became the parents of one daughter, Jennifer. The marriage ended in divorce in 1956. Later that year she was married to Roy Money and he preceded her in death in 1957. The following year she was married to Bill Brown and he died in 1959. On July 9, 1960, she was united in marriage to Charles P. Fouts at the First United Methodist Church in Osawatomie. He preceded her in death Dec. 7, 1976. Mrs. Fouts worked for a short time at the Osawatomie State Hospital. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Osawatomie and the American Legion Auxiliary. Others preceding her in death were her parents, a step-daughter, Eunice Fern Turner, and a step-son, Kyle Fouts. Surviving are her daughter, Laura Jennifer "Jenny" Fields of Osawatomie; one brother, Robert M. Davidson of Mission, Texas; three sisters, Ruth Giles of Gardner, Marjorie Diehm of Osawatomie, and Peggy Bunyard of West Plains, Mo.; two granddaughters; and two step-grandchildren. Graveside services were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Osawatomie Cemetery. The Rev. Ted Hunter officiated. The services were under the direction of the Eddy-Birchard Funteral Home of Osawatomie. |
