MAXINE BARNETT EVERHART

Maxine E. Everhart, 77, Osawatomie, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 1997, at Vencor Hospital in Kansas City, MO.

She was born Dec. 4, 1919, in Osawatomie to Ben and Ruby Dorsey Barnett. She attended Osawatomie schools graduating with the class of 1938.

She was married to Roy Everhart on July 28, 1939, in Butler, MO. He died in 1985.

Mrs. Everhart had beauty shops in Gardner, Paola, and Osawatomie before she retired in 1978. She was a member of the Gardner Baptist Church, the Osawatomie Elks, and Eastern Star.

Others preceding her in death were her parents, a brother and a sister.

Surviving are her daughter, Vickie Everhart of Gardner; a son, Jerry Everhart of Osawatomie; a sister, Rosie Bussell of Lane; a brother, Raymond Barnett of Osawatomie; and one grandson.

A visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday prior to service time at 1:30 at the Wilson and Son chapel in Paola. The Rev. Curtis Roesch will officiate. Virginia Karr will provide organ selections.

Burial will be in the Osawatomie Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to the Gardner Baptist Church or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
