WILLIAM S. WILSON

JUNE 18, 1918 - FEBRUARY 17, 1967

Funeral services for William Sewell Wilson, 48, were hele Monday afternoon in the Birchard Funeral home. Mr. Wilson died Feb. 17, 1967, in St. Mary's Hospital in Kansas City, Mo., after a prolonged illness.

He was born June18, 1918 in Osawatomie and was the eldest son of William and Mary Cook Wilson. He was reared by his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Cook, and graduated from Osawatomie High in 1937. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Order of DeMolay, and Conboy Nichols American Legion Post in Kansas City, Mo.

Mr. Wilson was a member of the National Guard, Battery F, 135th Division, and served in World War II. For the past 17 years he had been employed at the Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac plant in Kansas City, Kan.

Survivors include one brother, H. Glen Wilson of Gardnerville, Nev. and three sisters, Mrs. Paul Wright of Sedalia, Mo., Mrs. DonKenagy of Belton, Mo., and Mrs. Ted Hay of Vacaville, Calif.

The Rev. George White officiated at the services, and Mrs. John Dollar provided organ selections. The pallbearers were Forest Duncan, Edgar Smith, Carl Hiles, William Bruntz, Lawrence Law, and Harry Clark. Burial was in Elmdale Cemetery under direction of Birchard Funeral Home.
