RILEY - Services for Marjorie M. Bergstrom, Manhattan, are set for 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Holmes Funeral Home in Riley.

Mrs. Bergstrom, 67, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 1988, in the College Hill Nursing Home in Manhattan.

She was born May 5, 1920, in Osawatomie, the daughter of Frank and Lena Miller Fitzgerald. She grew up in Osawatomie and attended local schools, graduating from Osawatomie High School in 1937. She also attended the University of Kansas.

She lived in Osawatomie until moving to this area in 1966. She had worked for the Fluor Corporation in Paola in the payroll department.

Before her retirement, she was a payroll clerk at Kansas State University in Manhattan.

She and Eldon Bergstrom were married Dec. 16, 1972 in Junction City.

Mrs. Bergstrom was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary No. 2468 in Manhattan.

Survivors include her husband, Eldon, of the home; one son, Craig S. Powell, Osawatomie; two stepsons, Sheldon Bergstrom and Gregg Bergstrom, Clay Center; one daughter, Diana L. Knox, Wichita; two stepdaughters, Karen Weimer, Scottsdale, Arix., and Jeanie Baker, San Diego, Calif.; a sister, Helen Greene, Santa Barbara, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Paul Hymes will officiate. Music will be provided by Ed Nord, soloist, and Mrs. Gordon Webb, organist. Pallbearers will be Sheldon Bergstrom, Don Rosenow, Gilbert Balford, Gregg Bergstrom, Rick Chaffee and Mike Chaffee. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Green.

A memorial has been established in her name to the Kansas State University Basic Cancer Research Fund.
