MAXINE INEZ DEMASTUS WARNER

CLASS OF 1937

APRIL 12, 1919 - JANUARY 27, 2003 

Maxine Inez Warner, 83, Nixa, Mo., a native of Osawatomie, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, in the home of her son in Nixa.

She was born April 12, 1919, in Osawatomie, a daughter of Bert and Daisy Long Demastus. She was a 1937 graduate of Osawatomie High School.

On Sept. 11, 1937, she and Clarence Roy Warner were married in Olathe. They became parents of one son. Mr. Warner died Aug. 14, 1995.

Mrs. Warner was a bookkeeper for Grover Thompson in the Ford dealership in Osawatomie and at the Osawatomie State Hospital. She retired from OSH in the early 1980s.

She moved to Nixa in 2001.

Mrs. Warner was a member of Hanlin-Kelly Post No. 2258 Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Osawatomie and a member of a Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star and MoKan Camping Club.

Also preceding her in death was a sister, Irene Gardner.

Survivors include her son, Steve Warner of Nixa; a grandson; and one great-grandson.

Services were Friday in Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home in Osawatomie, followed by burial in Osawatomie Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jim Buckman, Bill Gardner, Jerry Edwards, Steve Warner, Chris Warner and Ryan Warner.
