Maxine Smith Woodward was born January 21, 1918. Soon after high school graduation, she and her parents moved to California, then to Salem, oregon. Not liking the constant rain, the family moved back to California in 1936 and remained there.

Maxine was working and living in Los Angeles when she met her husband, Jack Woodward. The couple became quite involved with working in the church. Jack died December 9, 2003.

Maxine remained in the home. On August 31, 2011, she fell in the driveway of her home breaking a leg. A rod was put in but she gradually grew weaker until her death, December 17, 2011.

She had a simple graveside service and is buried beside her husband, Jack.
