The following is information that was supplied by Charles for the 50th reunion held in 1985:

"I attended Ft. Hays State University at Hays, KS for two years - 1939 thru 1941. Military Service - drafted 3-26-42 by U.S.Army. discharged 1-26-46 WW II. Army reserve called back to servide 1-2-50 to 9-1-50. Served in Korea. Employed 3-11-47 in insurance industry, Kansas City, MO. Tranferred to branch in Little rock, AR 1-4-48. Took early retirement from employer, Com. Union Ins. Co., 10-31-75. Married 6-5-48 to Betty Smith (resident of Kansas City at the time). Married 35-1/2 years, no children. She died 4-19-84."

Graveside memorial services for Charles A. McGuire, Jr., Little Rock, Ark. were held Friday in Osawatomie Cemetery.

Mr. McGuire, 79, died May 23, 1997 in Little Rock.

He was born September 18, 1917, the son of Lola Griffith McGuire and Charles A. McGuire, Sr. He graduated from Osawatomie High School in 1935. He and Betty M. Fitch were married June 5, 1947. She died April 19, 1984.

Mr. McGuire was an auditor for an insurance company before retiring. He was a Presbyterian and a veteran of the U. S. Army.

The Rev. Leslie King officiated. Arrangements were udner the direction of Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home.
