DONALD E. "DON" LOCH

CLASS OF 1935

OCTOBER 5, 1917 - MAY 18, 1999

The following is information that was supplied by Donald for the 50th reunion held in 1985:

"After leaving Osawatomie High School, the majority of my productive years were spent in the Aircraft Industry in Wichita. I retired in 1979. I am married and have three children and three grandchildren.

 

Obituary:

WICHITA - -Donald E. "Don" Loch, a former resident of Miami County, Died Tuesday, May 18, 1999. He was 81.

Mr. Loch was born Oct. 5, 1917 in rural Paola to John and Florence Loch. After graduating from Osawatomie High School in 1935, he attended California Flyers Vo-Tech School in Inglewood, Calif. He married Beverly Imel Aug. 12, 1952 in Mountain Home, Ark.

He worked for Beech and Boeing before entering the sub-contract field of the aircraft industry. He retired from Product Manufacturing Corp. in 1979. His memberships included the Elks Lodge. No. 427 and the Moose Lodge N. 138.

Mr. Loch is survived by his wife, Beverly of the home; two sons: Gary Loch of Sycamore and Donald Loch of Wichita; a daughter, Donna Wescott of Wichita; a sister , Dorothy Huffman or Pleasanton; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Friday, May 21, 1999, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Arrangements were under the direction of Cochran Mortuary.
