The funeral for Fern Maxine Sherman, 57, of rural Baldwin, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Baldwin. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Baldwin.

Mrs. Sherman died Wed. Jan. 2, 1974, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital where she had been hospitalized a week for a heart ailment. She was born January 17, 1916, at Osawatomie, the daughter of M. O. and Olive Loutzenheiser Miller. She attended school there and graduated from Osawatomie High School with the Class of 1934. She continued living in Osawatomie until 1948 when she moved to the Vinland community.

She was the Vinland telephone exchange operator, and a nurses aide at Lawrence Memorial Hospital and Orchard Lane Nursing Home in Baldwin. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Music for the funeral was provided by Karl Blass.

Survivors include her husband Gilbert, of the home; three daughters, Jo Lynne Gauna, 1220 PA., Judith Robertson, Westmoreland, and Dana Blass, Wellsville; a sister, Freda Miller of Osawatomie; and seven grandchildren.

The family suggest donations to the Acute unit at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
