KATHLYN LORANE COUCH DUNLAP

A memorial service for Kathlyn Lorane Dunlap, Coffeyville, was held Wednesday in Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dunlap, a former Osawatomie resident, died Sunday Dec. 27, 1998 in Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. She was 82.

She was born Sept. 15, 1916 in Council Grove and her parents were Earl Wayne and Nellie Juanita Wright Couch. The family moved to Osawatomie and she was a 1934 graduate of Osawatomie High School. After attending Ursuline Academy in Paola, she graduated from Research School of Nursing in Kansas Ciyt, Mo. in 1940. She worked as a nurse in Kansas City for several years.

On Sept. 17, 1944, she and Laurence Mason Dunlap were married in Los Angeles, Calif. After their marriage they lived in New Orleans. They moved to Osawatomie in 1950 with the Missouri Pacific Railroad. He was transferred to Coffeyville in 1962. Mr. Dunlap preceded his wife in death July 16, 1992.

Mrs. Dunlap, a homemaker, was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Coffeyville.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandra McNames, Coffeyville, and Susan Brighton, Rowayton, Conn.; a brother, Earl W. Couch, Flippin, Ark.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Mrs. Dunlap was cremated.
