Overland Park . . . Memorial services for J. Lucius Bush, Overland Park, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Overland Park Christian Church.

Mr. Bush died Monday, July 13, 1998 in Shawnee Mission Medical Center. He was 87.

The son of William L. and Eula Bush, he was born Feb. 9, 1911 in Cordele, Ga. He attended Osawatomie schools and graduated with the Class of 1934. He had lived in Overland Park since 1941. In 1974 he retired from the Kansas City Terminal Railway.

Mr. Bush was a member of Osage Valley Masonic Lodge No. 24, A.F.and A.M., Osawatomie, Osawatomie Chapter No. 26, Order of Eastern Star, Ancient Forum of Free and Accepted Masons, past associate guardian of I.O.J.D. of Bethel 62, Scottish Rite, Abdallah Shrine, TCU International Union, Overland Park Christian Church, Overland Park Trailblazers, Prairie Dogs and the Shawnee Mission Color Slide Club.

Survivors include his wife, Marian, of the home; two daughters, Janice L. Eilert, Overland Park, and Donna M. Mauk, Ellisville, Mo.; and nine grancdhildren.

Burial will be in Johnson County Memorial Gardens under the direction of Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.

Memorials have been established in his name to Shriners Children's Hospital, St. Louis, Mo. and the church.
