Click Here for the Group Picture CLASS OF 1932 Services for Helen Patrecia McKeever, 213 Mill St., Osawatomie, were held today in Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home. Mrs. McKeever, 75, died Friday, Sept. 15, 1989, in the Olathe Medical Center. The daughter of Dell A. and Grace Jane Smith Young, she was born March 17, 1914, near Beagle. Her mother died in the 1918 influenza epidemic and she was raised by her stepmother, Zenora Maude Bradley Young. She attended Meek Grade School and Osawatomie High School graduating in 1932. For a time, she worked as a bookkeeper at the Howard Davies Laundry. She and James Wylbur McKeever were married Nov. 10, 1935, in Osawatomie where they made their home. They became the parents of three children and raised a foster daughter. Mrs. McKeever worked as an aide at the Osawatomie State Hospital until 1953. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Osawatomie. Among those preceding her in death were an infant brother and a daughter, Zenora, who died of polio at the age of 10. Survivors include her husband, James, of the home; a son, James Wylbur McKeever, Jr., San Antonio, Texas; a daughter, Clarice Stephens, Olathe; a foster daughter; a brother, Edmond Young, Galveston, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. The Rev. Curtis Roesch conducted the services. Ruth Lombard sang accompanied by Rosalie Bowker, organist. Pallbearers were Jeff McKeever, Gary Stephens, Danny Stephens, Jerry Godwin, Bill Kuder and James C. McKeever. Burial was in Osawatomie Cemetery.
