Ricketts, 86, Meriden, Kan., a native of Blue Mound and former Osawatomie resident, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, in Fleming Place in Topeka. The daughter of Orville and Nan E. Johnson Thoms, she was born Jan. 23, 1915, in Blue Mound. She was a 1932 graduate of Osawatomie High School. She and Don. M. Ricketts were married July 18, 1939, in Osawatomie. He preceded her in death Sept. 26, 1998. Mrs. Ricketts had worked at Topeka State Bank and Crosby Brothers Department Store. She had lived in Meriden for the past 20 years. Her memberships included Topeka Chapter No. 436 of the Order of the Eastern Star and PBX Club of Topeka. Survivors include three sons, Gary Ricketts and Dan Ricketts, both of Meriden, and Joe Ricketts of Plano, Texas; a sister, Eleanor Daniel of Topeka; three granddaughters; and two great-grandsons. Services were Monday in the Topeka Cemetery Garden Chapel. Burial was in Topeka Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Central Congregational Church, 248 SW Buchanan, Topeka, KS 66604-1274.
