Click Here for the Group Picture THE CLASS OF 1932 AUGUST 27, 1911 - MARCH 3, 2000 Thelma Izora McCoach, 88, Salina, a longtime Osawatomie resident, died Friday, March 3, 2000, in Sterling House in Salina. Born Aug. 27, 1911, in Miami County, she was one of the six children of Luther and Myrtle Mae- Weedman Roberts. She was a 1932 graduate of Osawatomie High School. She and Basil Ernest McCoach were married June 2, 1934, in Olathe. They made their home in Osawatomie and became the parents of three children. Mr. McCoach died June 15, 1980. Mrs. McCoach continued to live in Osawatomie until September 1997 when she moved to Salina to be near her son, Larry McCoach. Mrs. McCoach was a member of the First Christian Church of Osawatomie. Among those preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, were a son, Donald Ray; three brothers; and a sister. Survivors include two sons, Gerald McCoach of Albuquerque, N.M., and Larry McCoach of Salina; a sister, Ida May Barber of Portland, Ore.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Memorial services were Monday in the church. Burial was in Osawatomie Cemetery earlier in the day. Arrangements were cared for by Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home in Osawatomie. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church in Osawatomie or in Salina.
