Click Here for the Group Picture CLASS OF 1932 OCTOBER 24, 1912 - APRIL 8, 1973 Services for Mrs. Margaret Jane Berry, 61, were held Thursday in Birchard Funeral Home. Mrs. Berry died April 8, 1973, in Miami County Hospital after an illness of several months. She was born Oct. 24, 1912, in Weston, MO. Her parents were Carrie and Samuel Reed. She was a graduate of Osawatomie High School with the class of 1932. That same year she married Jesse Berry and they were parents of 12 children, five of whom died in infancy. Mrs. Berry was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church where she served as church pianist for several years and was active in other offices. She was also a past member of the Fireside Civic Club and of the Order of the Court of Calanthe. Survivors include her husband, Jesse, of the home; four sons, Larry Joe Berry, Rochester, N.Y.. and James W. Berry, Russell Lee Berry and Jackie Eugene Berry, Osawatomie; three daughters, Judith Thompkins, of the home, and Janet E. Jones and Joyce Marie Ragland, Long Beach, Calif.; a brother, Robert H. Reed, Kansas City Mo.; two sisters, Ruth Wrench and Bethel Smith, Osawatomie; and 16 grandchildren. The Rev. Floyd Guliford and the Rev. T. L. Arnick officiated at the services. Mrs. Ruth Guliford was the soloist and Mrs. John Dollar was the organist. Pallbearers were F.R. Blandon, Bert Ripley, Willie Brockman, Slater Carter, Willie Smith and Joe Young. Burial was in the Elmdale Cemetery.
