WINONA PRUE HATFIELD PEPIN

Winona Pepin, 98, died peacefully, November 25, 2011 at Kaiser Hospital, South San Francisco, CA. At her request no service was held.

Winona was born July 11, 1913 in Miami County, KS to Ella and Charles A. (Jack) Hatfield. She graduated from Osawatomie High School in 1931.

In 1937, she married Alfred D. Pepin. In 1948 after the death of her father, her mother moved in with the family until her death in 970.

Winona was a homemaker and lifelong member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

In 1957 the family moved to Daly City, CA.

She worked for Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Co. until her retirement.

She was an active member of the United Methodist Church of Daly City. She was a master quilter. She was a member of the Dorcas Quilters and the San Francisco Quilt Guild.

Winona is survived by two daughters, Priscilla (Mrs. Lyman F.) Crutcher, of Peculiar, MO; Patricia Pepin of Vallejo, CA; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

Inurnment will be at the family plot in Osawatomie Cemetery, KS.

Arrangements were handled by Duggan's Sierra Mortuary.
