Jack Burton Tegler was born in Osawatomie Kansas to Edward E. Tegler and Opal Pauline Burton Tegler. He married Dorothy Louise Riley Tegler on July 31, 1936. He served the 338th Infantry in WW2, was wounded in Italy and received a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star.

Jack & Dorothy have three children: Susan, Janice, Thomas, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was employed as a salesman. Jack is buried at Fairmont Memorial Park in Spokane WA.
