Memorial services for Alice Virginia Flint wre held Saturday morning in the United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Flint died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1993, in her home at 821 Brown Ave. She was 81.

Born Nov. 11, 1912, in Cape Giradeau, Mo., she was a daughter of DeClercq and Jessie Pearl Blackman Henney. The family moved to Osawatomie in 1928 and Mrs. Flint graduated from Osawatomie High School in 1930.

On Jan. 3, 1935, she was married to Mordy C. Flint. They were parents of two children.

Mrs. Flint was a homemaker.

She was a member of the church, the Philathea Class of the church, Harmony Family Community Education Unit, National Association of Retired and Veteran Railway Employees and the Golden Age Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a sister, Martha Belle Brown Whiteford; and a brother, DeClercq Stanton Henney

Survivors include a daughter, Sara Ferguson, Blue Springs, Mo.; two sons, David Flint of Prairie Village and Stanton Whiteford of Montrose, Colo.; and six grandchildren.

The Rev. Ted Hunter officiated at memorial services. Ashes were buried in Osawatomie Cemetery in a private service.

Memorials are established to the church and Olathe Hospice.
