VIRGINIA BELLE McCLINTOCK MULLINS

Services for Virginia Belle Mullins, Vinita, OK, were held Saturday in Eddy-Birchard Funeral HOme.

Mrs. Mullins, a native of Osawatomie, died Monday, August 1, 1994, in Baptist Life Care Center in Vinita. She was 83.

The daughter of W. D. and Ethel M. Surprise McClintock, she was born December 7, 1910, in Osawatomie, where she grew up. she attended Osawatomie schools and was a 1929 graduate of Osawatomie High School.

She and Lorin J. Mullins were married June 5, 1930, in Olathe and they made their home in Osawatomie until 1951. They becamethe parents of six children.

They lived in Dallart, TX and Pratt before moving to Vinita, OK in 1974.

Mrs. Mullins was a seamstres, doing alterations for cleaning establishments and sewing in her home.

She was a member of the first Baptist Church and served as secretary of the Parent Teachers Association in Dalhart. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Pratt and a member of a home demonstration unit in Vinita.

Among those preceding her in death was a sister, Clara Dickerson, and a brother, Leslie McClintock.

Survivors include her husband, Lorin, of the home; two sons: Randall Mullins, Leesville, LA and Jim Mullins, Lawrence; four daughters: Barbara Kennedy, Paola, Priscilla Moore, Tulsa, OK., Martha Dushay, Claremore, OK. and rBrenda Sheets, Guymon, OK; two sisters: Alice Powell, Osawatomie, and Elnora, Cookville, TN; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Ronald P. Cocher officiated. Donald L. Pitts sang, accompanied by Lois Bisig, organist. Pallbearers were Larry Mullins, Ron Kennedy, Greg Moore, Brian Moore, Scott Moore and Travis Mullins. Burial was in Osawatomie Cemetery.

Memorials has been established in her name to the Osawatomie Alumni Association and Alzheimer's Association.
