TOPEKA - Last rites for Hilda Jane Cockran, Topeka, were held Saturday in Parker Price Mortuary. Graveside services for Mrs. Cockran were held Saturday afternoon in Osawatomie Cemetery.

Mrs. Cockran, 81, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 1991 in a Topeka hospital.

She was born Oct. 21, 1920 in Osawatomie and her parents were Floyd G. and Jessie Stewart Coker. She grew up in Osawatomie and was a 1929 graudate of Osawatomie High School. She had lived in Osage City before moving to Topeka.

She and Therman Roy Cockran were married June 21, 1931 in Osawatomie. He died May 19, 1981.

Mrs. Cockran was a longtime volunteer at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Topeka and a member of the Crestview United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Therman "Ron" Cockran, Topeka; a brother, Frank Coker, Osawatomie; a grandson; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorials have been established in her name to the Crestview United Methodist Church and the Northern Hills Baptist Church, both of Topeka.
