Cheatham, William McDonald , 98, of Scottsdale, AZ, passed away on August 4, 2010. Born March 13, 1912, in Poplar Bluff, Mo. Married 55 years to Helen Hoeppner Cheatham who died in 1992, and Louise Judy Cheatham for 16 years, who died July 4, 2010.

William was a Professional Traffic Manager, a Certified Claims Specialist and awarded the Barrie Vreeland Award for Outstanding Contributions in the field of Claims Education and Prevention. He was a member of Toastmasters Int'l in Scottsdale.

He is survived by two daughters, Anne Merics of Burlingame, CA, Margaret Carrigan of Reno, NV, four grandchildren, Anna Marie Brock of Dallesport, WA, Robert G. Paoli of Tacoma, Wa, Stephanie Merics of San Jose, CA, Sabrina McCue of Sparks, NV., three greatgrand children, Andrew Paoli of Tacoma, WA, Matthew Holt of Coeur d'Alene, ID, Josie McCue of Sparks, NV and a great, great, grandson, Hayden Ryder Holt of Coeur d'alene, ID.

A memorial service will be held at Westminster Village, in the chapel, located at 12000 N. 90th Street, Scottsdale, AZ on August 28th at 1:00pm. We would like to thank the wonderful staff and caregivers of Weyrich Health Care Center as well as the very compassionate staff of the Hospice of the Valley.
