NOVEMBER 15, 1907 - OCTOBER 12, 1995

Esther Naomi Gamble, 87, Olathe, formerly of Osawatomie, died Thursday, Oct. 12, 1995, at the Good Samariatan Nursing Homein Olathe.

She was born Nov. 15, 1907 at Beagle, the fourth of six children of John & Macy Lyons Price. She attended school in Osawatomie and graduated in 1926 as valedictorian of her class.

She was married to Lloyd Lavern Sutton in Osawatomie on March 31, 1929. They became the parents of two sons. Mr. Sutton died June 7, 1945. She married Eldon R. Gamble on Sept. 12, 1953 in Topeka. He died in 1956.

Esther had worked at the First National Bank in Osawatomie, the Civil Service at Olathe Naval Air Station, the McConnell Air Force Base in Topeka, and the Social Security Administration in Santa Ana, Calif. She retired in 1967.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church and a former member of Rebekah Lodge in Osawatomie.

Preceding her in death were her parents, two husbands, four brothers, Clyde Price, Earl Price, Dale Price and Glenn Price; and one sister, Ruth Price Tawney Barber.

Survivors include her two sons, Ralph Sutton of Mount Vernon, Wash., and Robert Sutton of Scottscale, Arix; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were h eld at 2 p.m. Monday at the Osawatomie Cemetery under the direction of the Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home. The Rev. Lee Wiersma officiated.
