CLASS OF 1926 NOVEMBER 16, 1906 - JULY 26, 1991 Graveside services for Ruth Vera Hays Gudger of John Knox Care Center in Lee's Summit, Mo., were held Monday in Elmdale Cemetery. She died Friday, July 26, 1991, at the center. She was 84. A daughter of Ed and Anne Bryon Hays, she was born Nov. 16, 1906 in Osawatomie. She attended Osawatomie schools and was a 1926 Osawatomie High School graduate. She worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad as a telegraph operator for two years until her marriage July 4, 1929 to Hearn Gudger in Osawatomie. He died Aug. 13, 1974. Mrs. Gudger lived in Osawatomie most of her life until she moved to the John Knox Village several years ago. Survivors include her three daughters, Paula Miller, El Paso, Texas, Patricia McMullin, Topeka, and Phyllis Baker-Gari, Rockaway, N.J.; her sister, Myrtle Nold, Delaway Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. |
