Homer E. Ricketts, 76, of 341 N. Lawn Ave., Kansas City, Mo., died March 22, 1982 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born in Somerset, Kan., and had lived in this area most of his life. He graduated from Osawatomie High School with the Class of 1925. Mr. Ricketts worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad for 46 years before retiring as chief clerk to the superintendent of the Kansas City Terminal Division in 1970.

He was a member of the Osage Valley Masonic Lodge, Osawatomie, Kan., and the Missouri Pacific Booster Club Association. He was a member of the White Avenue United Methodist Church.

He leaves his wife, Mrs Gladys Ricketts of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Joyce Ann Manning, Kansas City; three brothers, Bill Ricketts, Pasco Wash., Max Ricketts, Chicago, and Glenn Ricketts, Osawatomie; and a grandson.

Services will be at 11. a.m., Thursday at the Blackman Guardian Chapel; burial in Paola Kan Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the chapel.
