CORRINE MATTINGLY KRUMSICK

1906 - 2002

Corrine A. Krumsick, 96, a native of Osawatomie, died December 3, 2002 in her Overland Park home.

She was born in Osawatomie, the daughter of Louis and Christine Mattingly. She graduated from Osawatomie High School with the Class of 1924 and attended the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY, where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority.

She was a dedicated teacher in the Center School District, as well as the Kansas City, MO schools for 42 years.

She was a member of the Old Mission United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She was a Greeterette of the Ararat Shrine for more than 30 years and was a member of the Needle Guild.

She was a life member of the Women's Division of the Kansas City Museum, a life member of the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary and the Rehabilitation Institute, a life member of the Kansas City Rose Society and the Kansas City Garden Club.

She was a member of the Art Study Club, the Kansas City Athletic Club, the Kansas City College Club, the Presidents and Past Presidents General Assembly, the Women's City Club, the William J. Bland American Legion Auxiliary and the Adult Friendship Club of Country Club Christian Church.

Her husband of 53 years, George W. Krumsick, preceded her in death.

Surviving are her two daughters, Ann Grimes of Littleton, CO, and Billie Houghton of Prairie Village; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial services held at Old Mission United Methodist Church in Shawnee Mission, KS. Memorials were made to the church.
