CLASS OF 1924 DECEMBER 11, 1905 - APRIL 23, 1989 Services for Louise V. Kubitschek (Mathews), 424 Ninth St., Osawatomie, were held last Wednesday in the St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Mrs. Kubitschek (Mathews), 83, died Sunday, April 23, 1989, in Pinecrest Haven, Paola. Born Dec. 11, 1905, in Osawatomie, she was the daughter of C.J. and Ella Mathews. She grew up in Osawatomie, attended Ursuline Academy in Paola, and Graduated from Osawatomie High School in 1923. In 1925, she and Dr. Paul ' E. Kubitschek were married in Osawatomie. That same year, they moved to Philadelphia, Pa., where he continued his education. In 1929, they moved to St. Louis, Mo., where they lived for many years. Dr. Kubitschek died in 1967 and Mrs. Kubitschek returned to Osawatomie in 1979. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, one brother, one sister and one grandson. Survivors include three sons, Paul E. Kubitschek Jr., Birmingham, Mich., Howard B. Kubitschek, Palmer Lake, Colo., and Donald Kubitschek, Mountain Home, Idaho; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. The Rev. Robert Pool officiated. Pallbearers were Paul Kubitschek, Howard Kubitschek, Joe Kubitschek, Richard Foley, Leo Kubitschek and Donald Kubitschek. Burial was in Elmdale Cemetery under the directionl of Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home. |
