CLASS OF 1924 MAY 11, 1904 - JUNE, 1969 Funeral Services for Virgil U. Hackler, 65, Osawatomie, were conducted by Rev. Clark Harbach in the Birchard Funeral Home last Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. Pallbearers were C.C. Stevens, Wendall Michels, Russell Mills, Hugh Phares, Joe Hughes, and Marion McKee. Burial was in the Osawatomie Cemetery with Masonic services at the grave. Mr. Hackler died June 22, 1969 in Trinity Lutheran hospital. He graduated from Osawatomie High School in 1924 and was a merchant in Osawatomie several years before retiring in 1965 on account of illness. He was a member of the Osage Valley Lodge No. 24 AF&AM, and was a 32nd degree Mason. Surviving is on brother Maurice F. Hackler of the home. |
